The 2004 Museum of the Rockies
Wine Classic

This gala evening is an annual fundraiser for the Museum of the Rockies and is quickly gaining a reputation as a premier wine tasting event. Katalin's objective was to bring a warm and intimate feeling to the massive tent that housed the event while offering visual splendor to complement the sensory pleasures of fine wine and the exquisite food. Additionally she wanted a light source that would provide warm yet functional lighting as night fell and the live auction began. She used a unique design with orchids submerged in softly lit vases displayed on tables covered with a weave of richly colored cloth.
This allowed her to achieve her design goal, while minimizing any excessive fragrance that would interfere with the flavor of the wines. The consensus of the guests was that she succeeded at all levels with a design that exceeded the imagination.
