Head
to the Northwest corner of Montana and you’ll find
the awe-inspiring Glacier National Park.
If you’re willing to do a little exploring
and drive a few dirt roads, you’ll find Polebridge,
a charming and quirky small town said to be one of the
last towns that runs entirely on a generator.
If you want to keep partying when the time
comes to turn off the generator, you’ll have to do
it by candlelight and headlamps.
The two main businesses in town are Polebridge
Mercantile and Northern Lights Saloon, and
that, along with the incredible views, was all Kat and
Justin needed for a great wedding. Katalin Green
Design made the drive North to work with the couple.
The ceremony was in the back field behind the
Mercantile and Saloon with an amazing Glacier Park
backdrop. The
bride’s mother and sister provide the violin
prelude. Afterwards, Dinner was prepared and served by
Heather and the crew from the Northern Lights Saloon
in a hexagon tent set in one of the most stunning
settings imaginable.
Following dinner, the guests were treated to
some of the finest wedding cake ever served.
Seems Dan at the Mercantile is quite the baker
and in addition to the cake made with 10 pound of
fresh huckleberries, he also baked a bunch of petite
cherry pies in honor of the bride, known to brides
around the world as Ms Cherry Pie on the Wedding Bee
blog. Good Wood provided great music from the
outdoor bandstand, and this adventurous Montana
wedding went well past the time they turned off the
generator.
